Real Madrid's Trent Alexander-Arnold Might Play Against Liverpool in Upcoming European Match

The English defender in action

Real Madrid brought in Trent Alexander-Arnold on a six-year contract

The defender's comeback is advancing according to plan, giving hope that the Madrid defender may return soon enough to play against his former club Liverpool in the upcoming European encounter.

The 27-year-old international experienced a hamstring problem during a match against French club Marseille in the initial phase of the competition on September 16.

Alexander-Arnold had to leave the field in the early stages, with initial reports pointing to a possible layoff of around a month and a half.

Real Madrid are scheduled to face Liverpool on November 4 for the Champions League match—just seven weeks after the incident happened.

Reports familiar with the player's condition suggest that the defender's healing process is advancing positively, and there is hope that Alexander-Arnold may make his first appearance to Liverpool's stadium since moving to Real Madrid in June.

A lifelong Liverpool supporter, Alexander-Arnold earlier remarked that departing from the club he entered as a six-year-old youth talent was the "most difficult choice he has ever made."

During his tenure with the Merseyside club, Alexander-Arnold made 354 appearances, contributing to win multiple Premier League titles, a European Cup, and the FA Cup.

After his transfer to the Spanish capital, Alexander-Arnold has featured on five occasions across all competitions, logging 156 minutes of game time.
