The Renowned Musician Calls On Support to Send Together for Palestine Song to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A campaign is aiming to propel a traditional song from Palestine to the Christmas number one spot. The effort aims to deliver assistance to people in Gaza while also showcasing Palestinian artistic heritage.

A Possibility for Support and an "Surprise Victory"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a chance to show solidarity with Palestinians during the holidays. He remarked the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“It would be fantastic if that happened, yes,” he said. “I won't be completely disappointed if it fails to, festive releases are a unique phenomenon.”

Powerful Theme of Self-Determination

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who performs on the adaptation of a traditional lullaby called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's defiant core message.

“It has a profound significance for many individuals,” Barghouti shared. “The message is that I would choose to perish with honor than live a life without freedom. That is the core idea of the song; we want to live a life of dignity that we are entitled to as Palestinians.”

Track's Background and Contributing Musicians

The song was recorded after a solidarity show held in September. First conceived to be captured during the live event, the piece was shelved during the concert due to scheduling overruns.

The diverse array of artists appearing on Lullaby features a group of well-known figures from the scene. All took part in the September show, which reportedly raised a considerable total for charitable causes.

Production and Release

Lullaby was produced by a group of music creators. The song features a mix of the heritage language with freshly written English words.

The group managing the campaign have emphasized that their aim is to generate maximum funds for a dedicated fund. These resources will be allocated to Palestinian causes through an non-profit partner.

“We don’t have a rigid aim,” a figure commented. “We will pursue whatever we can get. Obviously, the higher the total, the greater the impact. It all goes out to the people of Gaza.”

The reality in the area was described as its widespread damage, with a overwhelming percentage of buildings described as in ruins or severely impacted.

“In that context, a few million won't make an enormous impact. But I think what does make a difference is primarily raising awareness for this issue and demonstrating there’s another side to the story.”

The song is launching this Friday. Additionally, a video of the charity concert will be made accessible to view on a popular streaming site from the 19th of December.
