The Streaming Giant Selects Perfect Actor for Mr. 2 in One Piece Season 3
The Secret Organization is poised to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the true confrontation won’t unfold until the third season, and a adored, popular member has just been cast.
The platform declared recently that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Bentham. Bon Clay has the ability to transform into an exact copy of any person they’ve touched with their main hand. The actor, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a rendition of that role re-envisioned as non-binary, instead of as a drag queen, in the live-action show, differing from the source material and anime.
The new cast member joins a number of recently announced actors set to bring the organization to the screen, such as head the main antagonist, played by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as another operative, and a familiar face, who will appear as the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Even though Bon Clay is a important part of the organization, the character won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. With the next season set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this marks a significant shift in the placement of the character’s debut, one that could signal additional alterations to the narrative framework.
Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the part. Along with their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the versatility they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
Netflix's live-action One Piece series is due to premiere for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
